Topic: American Politics and the 2026 Election

Does it feel like the political landscape is shifting faster than ever?

Between the national headlines and the unique pulse of Minnesota, there is a lot to unpack as we head toward the 2026 elections. Whether you are a political junkie or just looking to make sense of the “noise,” our June luncheon is the perfect place to find clarity.

Join us for an engaging afternoon as we welcome one of the most respected voices in political science to help us understand the forces of shaping our world.

About the Program:  American Politics and the 2026 Election

Every election cycle feels “historic,” but 2026 holds a unique weight for both the nation and our home state. This isn’t just a list of polls; it’s a look “under the hood” of American democracy. We will explore the trends, the tensions, and the possibilities that will define our future within the welcoming, thoughtful environment of our Optimist community.

Every election is important.  But the 2026 elections seem especially  important nationally and in Minnesota.  This talk examines the state of national and Minnesota politics today and describes the forces that will shape the 2026 elections and beyond.
