2024 Meetings
For our December 13, 2024, luncheon pre-registration and payment for lunch is required, by 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 5, 2024. PLEASE NOTE THIS REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
We meet at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Roseville, 2540 Cleveland Ave, Roseville, MN 55113. Doors open at 11am, lunch is served at 11:15am and the program starts promptly at 11:30am.
Our speaker on Friday, December 13, 2024, is Bernie Friel: Bernie Friel, a St. Paul lawyer and award-winning nature photographer, shares a remarkable tale of resilience and passion. After surviving a life-threatening heart attack in his late thirties, Friel embarked on a journey of transformation. He dedicated himself to a healthier lifestyle, embracing running, mindful eating, and thrilling adventure travel.
A Life of Excess (in a Good Way): With the motto “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing to excess,” Friel immersed himself in his passions. He became a skilled mountain climber, conquering Mount Rainier and Kilimanjaro and seeking new challenges well into his 80s. His adventures have included river rafting, backpacking, kayaking, and exploring remote wilderness areas.
More Than Just a Survivor: Beyond his physical accomplishments, Friel’s story inspires and motivates. His presentation will delve into the profound changes he made to his life, the lessons he learned along the way, and how anyone can cultivate a more fulfilling and vibrant existence.

Note that only paid registrants are allowed at the meeting and walk-ons are not permitted. Because of the Club’s financial obligations, attending to only listen to the speaker without a paid registration is not an option. Walk-ins are not permitted.
