Our speaker on Friday, March 13th is Jenny Hedal.
Topic: “Northern Star Scouting: Character, Confidence, and Experience“
About the Program:
Northern Star Scouting is dedicated to providing all youth with the character, confidence, and experience to improve the world. From the energy of a first Pinewood Derby race to the leadership of a final Eagle Scout project, Scouting is in the business of building resilience and purpose in the next generation.
Today’s Scouting goes far beyond the traditional campsite. Through Community Scouting programs, Northern Star meets youth right where they are—bringing leadership opportunities and outdoor adventures directly into local neighborhoods and schools.
This session offers a look into stories of adventure, challenges along the trail, and the massive community impact of a movement that empowers all young people to be “Prepared” for a rapidly changing world. It is a presentation full of impact, vision, and a few classic tales from the North Woods
About Our Speaker: Jenny Hedal
Jenny Hedal serves as the Director of Development for Northern Star Scouting, where her career is defined by a lifelong commitment to youth leadership. In her role, Jenny bridges the gap between operations and impact—overseeing essential initiatives like the annual fundraising campaign and the popcorn sale while cultivating a growing network of advocates, donors, and volunteers. Her work is instrumental in ensuring the next generation gains the character and service skills Scouting is known for. A dedicated community leader, Jenny is a past President of both the Fridley Columbia Heights and Roseville Rotary Clubs. Jenny resides in New Brighton with her husband and two children, and when she isn’t building the future of Scouting, she enjoys biking, swimming, and the occasional rappel from a skyscraper.
