Disagreement Doesn’t Have to be Divisive
Productive conversations, even in the face of different views and opinions, are critical for well-functioning organizations and societies. Yet rather than engage in potentially difficult or uncomfortable conversations, many of us try to avoid them all together for fear of creating conflict.
There is a big difference between healthy, productive disagreements and heated arguments. For two parties to come to a mutually beneficial agreement, there must be professionalism and respect. While navigating this territory can feel uncomfortable, it is possible for people with different points of view to have a constructive conversation. Join me to discuss some straightforward, yet powerful tools that help you speak your mind and be receptive to other perspectives to build common ground.
Note that only paid registrants are allowed at the meeting and walk-ons are not permitted. Because of the Club’s financial obligations, attending to only listen to the speaker without a paid registration is not an option. Walk-ins are not permitted.
If you have a problem with your registration or payment please contact our Treasurer Terry Gorman – [email protected] or 651-955-7072.
Note: Speakers may change due to emergencies and unexpected circumstances.
