About the Program and Speaker
The Honorable John R. Tunheim: Judge Tunheim is a U.S. District Judge for the District of Minnesota, where he has served for over 25 years. He served as Chief U.S. District Court Judge from 2005 to 2022. He has devoted much of his judicial career to help develop the rule of law in new democracies, including drafting the Kosovo Constitution and advising over 40 countries on counter-terrorism measures and judicial independence. He currently is establishing Minnesota Justice and Democracy Centers in St. Paul and in Minneapolis to encourage students to study and understand civics and the law. The Centers are designed to inspire young people to know more about democracy, to be active in their communities, and to be good American Citizens.

Our upcoming in-person luncheon will be held on Friday, December 9th and we are back at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Roseville, 2540 Cleveland Ave, Roseville, MN 55113. Please note that doors open at 11am, lunch is served at 11:15am and the program starts promptly at 11:30am.
